Meet JMBA
JMBA (or Juliana) is a writer and creative strategist with a background spanning storytelling, business analytics, operations, brand strategy, and product management.
She combines the creative instinct of a writer with the analytical rigor of a strategist, allowing her to quickly identify connections others may miss and translate them into clear, compelling stories. Juliana applied these skills at organizations of all sizes and stages: from startup to Fortune 5; from food & beverage to life sciences to law.
Juliana holds a degree in English & Creative Writing from Emory University and an M.S. in Business Analytics from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. She has been a commencement speaker, case writer, dashboard creator, writing instructor, editor, and storyteller. All of her varied experiences have informed her belief that the best work happens when creative thinking and analytical thinking are brought together.

✦ Poetic Roots: Studied poetry under Jericho Brown, the 2020 Pulitzer Prize winner for Poetry; co-founded Emory’s Media, Literature, and Arts Outreach House (now over a decade old!); read at the Decatur Book Festival; and co-hosted Poemgranate Seeds on WMRE.
✦ Wedding Enthusiast: Once considered becoming a wedding planner and coordinated two weddings in the early 2020s; now writes poems, prose, and officiant speeches for weddings.
✦ Big Stories: Analyzed and wrote insights shared with the White House during the 2022 national vaccination effort; planned & executed strategic work for a Two Michelin Star restaurant as it earned Three Michelin Stars.
